An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Job Description

This is for the 2026-2027 School Year. Leading Edge Academy is accepting applications for a 1st Grade Elementary Teacher at our Maricopa campus. Bachelor's Degree Must be appropriately certified in the grade level or subject area including proper teaching area endorsements. AZ Teacher Certification is a plus, but not required. Two or more years of classroom teaching experience is preferred. IVP fingerprint clearance card required. 2026-2027

5th Grade Teacher Leading Edge Academy is a K-12th Charter school that focuses on the whole child, and is proud to offer advanced academics and character development in a technology-enriched environment. Our schools have small class sizes and a safe family feel. These positions are for the 2026-2027 School Year. Salary is commensurate with experience. Performance bonus available. Benefits available, but not part of the AZ State retirement system. Leading Edge Academy does participate in the E-Verify program for all employees.
