An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Plan, prepare, implement and document high quality instruction, assessments, and interventions to meet the needs of all students Honor and carry out district initiatives and curriculum Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, colleagues, and administration Participate in a Professional Learning Community setting by collaborating regularly with team of teachers, special area teachers, and special education teachers Integrate technology effectively in a variety of forms on a daily basis as appropriate Maintain consistent attendance and report to work on time as expected Attend all meetings required for this position Complete assigned tasks, reports, and other requirements on timePhysical Requirements:
