Preschool centers at nine school locations, eleven elementary schools (K-5), three elementary/ middle schools (K-8), four middle schools (6-8), four comprehensive high schools (9-12), one continuation high school (11-12), a science-based charter Middle/High School (6-12), an Adult Education Center, Independent Study Programs, a Home School Program, and a self-paced online instruction program offer a wide variety of learning opportunities for students of all ages. Educational programs are designed to be flexible enough to provide a positive educational environment for all students, yet structured enough to ensure attainment of the California Content Standards and A-G requirements. Students also are encouraged to use whatever creative talents they possess. With the support of the community, school staffs have developed highly successful programs in music, agriculture, and athletics. Job Summary Job Summary Under the direction of the Director of Elementary Education, VAPA Coordinator, and site principals, the Elementary Arts Integration Wheel Itinerant Teacher plans and delivers arts-integrated lessons to all students at the elementary and TK-8 schools. A team of Arts Integration Wheel Itinerant Teachers will travel to a set of elementary sites each quarter to provide full or part-day (as designed by administration) release time for grade-level teachers while providing the students in the classroom exposure to various forms of arts instruction. In collaboration with the VAPA Coordinator, general education teachers, and the other Arts Integration Itinerant Wheel Teachers, lesson plans for each grade level will be developed in the areas of dance, media arts, theatre, and various types of visual arts including photography, craft arts, computer coding, and graphic design.
