Part-Time ESL Instructor

Newark, CA Pay:

$40

•45 per hour, depending on experience

Position:

UCEDA Institute is looking for an experienced ESL Instructor to teach English to adult professionals in a corporate training program in Newark, California. This is a great opportunity for an ESL teacher looking for a short-term, part-time teaching assignment.

What You'll Do:

Teach in-person ESL classes to adult professional learners. Provide practical English instruction focused on workplace communication. Adapt lessons to students' proficiency levels and professional needs. Create an engaging and supportive learning environment. Track attendance and student progress. Provide feedback regarding student participation and development. Communicate with UCEDA regarding class needs and student progress.

Qualifications:

ESL teaching experience required. Experience teaching adults preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred. TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or related certification preferred. Strong communication and classroom-management skills. Reliable and professional. Must be available for the entire 12-week program. Must be able to teach in person in Newark, CA.

Schedule:

The specific class schedule will be coordinated with the selected instructor and program requirements. The assignment is approximately 48-50 total hours over 12 weeks.

Compensation:

$35

•40 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
