100% time provides an educational program for pupils in grades K-8 or a combination class and assists in other school programs as assigned.DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE TO
Site Administrator or Designee.IMMEDIATE SUBORDINATES
Any assigned Classified Staff.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Teaches reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, health, art, physical education and music to pupils, utilizing course of study adopted by the Board of Trustees, along with other appropriate learning activities.
- Instructs pupils in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the school district.
- Provides planned learning experiences in order to motivate pupils and best utilize the available time for instruction.
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
- Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
- Evaluates pupil's academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records, prepares progress reports and communicates with parents on the individual pupil's progress.
- Identifies pupil needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping pupils solve health, attitude and learning problems.
- Creates a functional and attractive environment for learning through displays, bulletin boards and interest centers.
- Maintains professional competence through inservice education activities provided by the district and/or self-selected professional growth activities.
- Participates cooperatively with the appropriate administrator to develop the method by which he/she will be evaluated in conformance with district guidelines.
- Performs basic attendance accounting and business services as required.
- Assists in the selection of instructional materials, supplies and maintains required inventory records.
- Insures a comfortable room environment.
- Supervises pupils in out-of-classroom extra curricular activities during the assigned work day.
- Administers student assessment in accordance with District and State testing programs.
- Participates in District Curriculum committees and other Staff Development Programs.
- Participates in faculty committees and the sponsorship of pupil activities.
- Plans and coordinates the work of paraprofessionals as required.
- Participates in district sponsored school activities and events including but not limited to Back to School Night, Open House, Home School Club events, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- $119,669. Master Degree Stipend
- $1,500. Doctorate Degree Stipend
- $1,500. Includes contribution to a retirement system and access to health, dental, and vision benefits with District contribution.
- Special qualifications including knowledge, skills & abilities:
- Experience with, and willingness to participate in collaboration/PLC's.
- Experience of differentiation strategies; grouping students.
- Experience with content area integration and reading/writing across the curriculum.
MUST POSSESS
a valid California Teaching Credential authorizing service in the assignment, including CLAD certification.Application material must include:
