An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Starting Pay:
Hourly pay rate: $29.00 to $32.00, depending on education and experience. Are You Qualified? If you have the following, we would love to speak with you: MACTE Accredited Montessori 0-3 training Min 1 year in a Montessori infant/toddler classroom 12 ECE credits and teacher qualified, current background check Experience in a Montessori teaching environment is required; a willingness to learn and follow the Montessori philosophy is required. Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members is required. The ability to be patient, collaborative, creative, and passionate about Early Childhood education is essential for this role.
