Dance OR Physical Education Credential issued prior to January 1, 2022 Job Summary Job Summary Under the direction of assigned administrators, provides standards-based physical education instruction to elementary students at multiple school sites. Plans, organizes, and delivers developmentally appropriate instruction in movement, fitness, dance, sportsmanship, cooperation, personal responsibility, and healthy lifestyles using a variety of instructional strategies and resources. Assesses student progress, maintains appropriate records, and establishes a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment through effective classroom management and instruction in safe movement and equipment practices. Organizes, maintains, and inventories instructional equipment and materials; collaborates with teachers, administrators, instructional assistants, and other staff to support student learning and District instructional goals; establishes positive professional relationships with students, families, staff, and the community; travels regularly between assigned school sites; and performs other related duties as assigned.
