Duties Plan and facilitate a variety of educational, recreational, and creative activities tailored to elementary-aged children, including arts and crafts, outdoor games, and group projects. Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to ensure a respectful and inclusive environment. Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, snack time, homework assistance, and field trips to ensure safety at all times. Implement first aid protocols when necessary, including CPR and AED operation, to respond promptly to minor injuries or emergencies. Collaborate with colleagues to develop youth programs that support social-emotional growth, special education needs, and overall childhood development. Maintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, and incident reports while adhering to all safety guidelines. Foster positive relationships with children by providing mentorship, Christian counseling when appropriate, and encouraging teamwork and leadership skills. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare centers, camps, tutoring programs, or youth groups is highly desirable. Demonstrated classroom management skills combined with knowledge of behavior management strategies. Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols are required; ongoing training is supported. Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive environments is a plus. Background in childhood development or youth program facilitation enhances your ability to connect with diverse learners. Previous outdoor work experience or camp experience is beneficial for leading outdoor activities confidently.
