Position Summary:

Whitby Montessori Children's House seeks a warm, enthusiastic full‑time teacher for our Primary Program (ages 3-6). The teacher will work within a team to deliver developmentally appropriate instruction, monitor and assess student progress, and communicate regularly with colleagues and families. Montessori pedagogy is preferred but not required. This role is a temporary leave replacement from September - December.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons for ages 3-6 Support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in a prepared classroom Use observation and assessment to monitor growth and inform instruction Collaborate closely with team teachers; participate in meetings and planning Communicate progress to parents via conferences and written reports Supervise daily routines (arrival/dismissal, lunch, recess) and maintain a safe, organized classroom

Qualifications:
