An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

MONTESSORI LEAD TEACHER
About Us Small Savers is a year-round AMS Montessori school serving children ages 12 weeks through 5 years old. Qualifications Associates degree or higher in education Montessori certification ( REQUIRED ). Commensurate experience working in a child development center (Montessori) First aid and CPR certification Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Provides safe, nurturing, and stimulating Montessori environment for children in the class with developmentally appropriate materials and curriculum. Ensures the safety of the children, including responsibility for completing any incident reports and notifying parents and/or authorities. Meets the physical requirement of the teaching position.
Compensation:
Paid bi-monthly (26 pay periods per year) on an hourly basis. Lead Teachers are classified as non-exempt are paid overtime for all hours worked over 40 hours in a given week. Lead Teachers are eligible for all benefits offered to full-time Small Savers employees.

Full-time Salary:
Base salary $30.00 with a subsidy from the Pay Equity Fund (PEF) for a total of $34.14
•dependent on the continuation of the PEF and highest degree completed.
