The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, fostering their literacy development, and supporting their overall growth. This role involves collaborating with fellow teachers to deliver high-quality education aligned with our curriculum, with experience in the A Beka Curriculum considered a plus. The Kindergarten Teacher will play a vital role in shaping the foundational skills of our students through effective teaching and positive interaction. Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate literacy education activities that promote early reading and writing skills. Foster a warm, supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social development. Collaborate regularly with other teachers to develop lesson plans, share best practices, and ensure cohesive curriculum delivery. Utilize teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning styles and needs of young children. Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom setting conducive to active learning. Assess student progress regularly and communicate effectively with parents regarding developmental milestones. Incorporate Christian values into daily lessons and interactions to support the school's faith-based mission. Requirements Prior teaching experience working with young children in a classroom setting. Strong background in literacy education, with the ability to develop engaging lessons that foster early reading and writing skills. Experience or familiarity with the A Beka Curriculum is considered a plus. Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience. Passion for working with young children and fostering their academic, social, and spiritual growth. Excellent communication skills and patience necessary for working with early learners.
