May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Job Overview Fort Myers Christian School is a growing, thriving school, seeking a passionate and dedicated 2nd grade teacher who is committed to providing an exceptional education in a Christ-centered environment. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, innovative, and spiritually grounded, bringing a love of learning and a heart for Jesus into the classroom. Key Responsibilities
    Instruction & Curriculum Delivery:
    Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans for elementary students. Integrate faith-based perspectives into lessons to help students see God's hand in the subjects of Math, English, Science and Social Studies.
      Student Engagement:
      Create a dynamic classroom environment that encourages curiosity, inquiry, and hands-on exploration. Foster a love for learning by encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving.
        Spiritual Integration:
        Incorporate Biblical principles and Christian values into your teaching. Encourage students to see their studies as part of their God-given purpose.
          Classroom Management:
          Establish a positive, disciplined, and respectful classroom environment where students feel safe to ask questions, take risks, and express their ideas.
            Assessments & Feedback:
            Regularly assess student progress through quizzes, tests, projects, and assignments. Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student growth and achievement.
              Collaboration & Communication:
              Work closely with colleagues, the administration, and support staff, to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment. Maintain open and supportive communication with students, parents, and school leadership.
                Professional Development & Growth:
                Attend faculty meetings, workshops, and conferences to continually grow as a teacher. Stay current with best practices in education and Christian pedagogy. Qualifications
                • Bachelor's degree in Education, a related field, or equivalent experience.
                • Must be a citizen of the United States
                • Teaching certification preferred, but not required.
                • Passion for teaching and inspiring students.
                • A deep and personal faith in Jesus Christ, with a desire to integrate your faith into your teaching and daily interactions.
                • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
                • Strong classroom management abilities and a collaborative approach to teaching. Physical Requirements
                • Ability to engage in activities that require moderate physical effort, such as setting up classroom activities.
                • Ability to stand for extended periods during lessons and activities.

                $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
