The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment that encourages exploration, collaboration, creativity, and real-world problem-solving skills. Qualifications Required Education & Certification Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Florida Educator Certification or eligibility for certification through the Florida Department of Education Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of elementary STEM curriculum, child development, and instructional best practices Understanding of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics concepts appropriate for elementary learners Knowledge of current research and best practices in STEM education Familiarity with educational technology and software applications Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent planning and organizational abilities Effective classroom management skills Ability to assess, analyze, and monitor student progress Knowledge of varied learning styles and differentiated instruction Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Commitment to continuous professional growth and excellence in teaching Essential Duties and Responsibilities Instruction & Student Learning Deliver engaging STEM instruction through the school's specials rotation schedule. Plan and implement standards-based lessons that promote critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving. Design and facilitate hands-on, inquiry-based projects and learning experiences. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners. Integrate technology and innovative instructional strategies into daily lessons. Regularly assess student progress and maintain accurate records. Classroom Environment Maintain a safe, organized, and effective STEM learning environment. Supervise students and utilize positive classroom management practices. Ensure the proper use and care of STEM equipment, materials, and technology resources. Promote student confidence, self-esteem, and academic success. Collaboration & School Engagement Collaborate with administrators, faculty, and instructional teams to support STEM initiatives and school improvement efforts. Partner with classroom teachers to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities. Participate actively in faculty meetings, committees, and professional learning activities. Build positive relationships with students, families, and the school community. Assist in planning and implementing school-wide STEM events, competitions, showcases, and enrichment opportunities. Professional Responsibilities Pursue ongoing professional development related to STEM education and instructional technology. Stay current with emerging trends, research, and tools that enhance teaching and learning. Maintain timely and accurate records and reports. Safeguard school and student property. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal.
