Elementary School Teacher - 1st Grade

Duties Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, social studies, and arts to support early childhood education. Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instruction and facilitate interactive learning experiences. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques, creating a positive and inclusive environment for all students. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, including standardized testing preparations. Provide individualized support and tutoring for students needing extra help, including those with special education needs or on the autism spectrum. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to develop tailored educational plans that support each child's unique development. Incorporate early intervention strategies and Montessori or other pedagogical approaches to optimize childhood development outcomes. Mentor new teachers or teaching assistants, sharing best practices in classroom management and curriculum development. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and behavioral observations in compliance with education administration standards. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, literacy education, math instruction, and working with children of diverse backgrounds. Experience Prior classroom experience working with young children in an elementary school setting is essential. Demonstrated expertise in lesson planning across core subjects such as literacy education, math, and science. Experience working with students with special needs or in inclusive classrooms is highly desirable. Knowledge of learning technology tools used for early childhood education and classroom management systems. Proven ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Background in early childhood education or childhood development certifications preferred. Experience implementing standardized testing procedures and tutoring students for academic success. Familiarity with private school environments or Montessori methods is a plus. Skills in proofreading educational materials and developing curriculum content that meets diverse learner needs are beneficial.
