Teacher The French-American School of Miami Miami, FL Job Details Part-time $35 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications CPR Certification Teamwork Outdoor work experience First Aid Certification Experience teaching physical education Fitness instruction experience in educational institutions Full Job Description The French-American School of Miami, an established private institution celebrating 25 years of bilingual excellence, is seeking a passionate Part-Time Elementary P.E. Teacher . This position spans both of our campuses (South Miami and Miami Shores), delivering dynamic physical education instruction to elementary-aged students.
Work Schedule Total Commitment:
4 days per week (following the school calendar)
Miami Shores Campus:
2 days per week, 8:30 AM - 11:00
AM South Miami Campus:
2 days per week, 8:45 AM - 11:30
AM Key Responsibilities Instruction & Engagement:
Plan and lead energetic, age-appropriate Physical Education classes for various elementary grade levels (Kindergarten through 5th Grade).
Curriculum Implementation:
Utilize and adapt an established P.E. curriculum provided by the school to foster fitness, coordination, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Safety & Supervision:
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive environment during all physical activities and outdoor sessions.
Student Assessment:
Monitor student progress, engagement, and participation to support holistic student development.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
Prior experience teaching or coaching physical education, youth sports, or elementary-aged children.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with elementary physical education techniques, movement concepts, and group management.
Language Skills:
Fluency in English or French (bilingual proficiency is a plus).
Certifications:
Relevant certifications in Physical Education, First Aid/CPR, or DCF credentials preferred.
Pay:
$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 per week
