Job Description

Our growing private school is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year . This position may include teaching 4th Grade, 5th Grade, and/or a Combined Middle School classroom (Grades 6-8) . Unlike a traditional middle school model, our Middle School program is structured as a multi-grade classroom , where students in Grades 6, 7, and 8 learn together. The ideal candidate will be comfortable teaching students at different academic levels within the same classroom, differentiating instruction, and creating engaging lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners. Depending on the candidate's strengths and the school's needs, this position may also involve teaching multiple subjects across different grade levels. We are looking for a teacher who is flexible, organized, creative, and passionate about helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons. Teach students in Grades 4-8. Teach multiple subjects as assigned. Effectively manage a combined Middle School classroom with students in Grades 6-8. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with varying academic abilities and grade levels. Foster a structured, positive, and respectful classroom environment. Monitor student progress through assessments and ongoing observation. Maintain accurate student records and grades. Communicate regularly with parents regarding academic progress and behavior. Collaborate with administrators and fellow teachers. Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development. Maintain classroom organization and uphold all school policies. Qualifications Required 45 DCF hours Previous classroom teaching experience. Fluent English (spoken and written) Spanish is a plus Strong classroom management skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Authorized to work in the United States. CPR Preferred Experience teaching Upper Elementary or Middle School. Experience teaching multiple subjects. Experience in a private school setting. Experience teaching mixed-grade, multi-grade, or combined classrooms. Ability to differentiate instruction for students working at different academic levels. Experience integrating technology into daily instruction. Strong teamwork skills. Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to contribute to the school community.
