08/06/2026 St. Bartholomew Catholic School in Miramar (Broward County), Florida has an opening for a qualified 5th Grade Teacher for the upcoming 2026 - 27 school year. This candidate can help students learn, apply higher order thinking skills, and is qualified to teach elementary school. This teacher will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for an elementary school teacher and performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary is commensurate with certification and years of service.
Qualifications:
BS / BA Degree in Elementary Education. Florida department of Education Elementary K-5 teaching certificate, temporary or professional required. Must obtain catechetical certification from Archdiocesan Office of Catechesis within three years of hire. Excellent classroom management skills. Strong presentation skills with the use of instructional technologies. Proficiency with Apple technologies such as iPad. Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus. Effective oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice. Good spelling and grammar are required. Fully committed, supportive, and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred. Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church. Must have a professional demeanor.
