The Kindergarten Teacher is responsible for day-to-day activities in the classroom, curriculum instruction, child safety, lesson planning, and assessments for students.Responsibilities:
Plan and implement curriculum. Assess children's development and learning. Create a safe and supportive learning environment. Provide supervision and guidance during activities. Share progress reports and file incident reports as needed. Demonstrate positive attitudes, speech, and actions. Ensure children's emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs are met. Ensures the safety, social-emotional development and cognitive needs are met by implementing the curriculum to meet the needs of all children in the classroom. Track the development of each child by using the assessment and anecdotal notes. Connect and bond to children and parents in meaningful ways to communicate day to day events, instruction, and events. Meet with parents for conferences when needed. Supervise children using active supervision, both inside and outside. Keeps a neat, tidy and clean classroom for children. Understands developmentally appropriate practices, food program food service guidelines, and DCF licensing rules and regulations for Florida. Uphold the company's drug-free, tobacco-free, and nicotine-free policies within the workplace. All other duties as assigned.Experience/Qualifications:
Minimum experience of 1 year of teaching. Strong attention to detail skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to remain calm and supportive during challenging behaviors. Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently. Must be able to legally work in the USA. Education and Certification(s)/License(s): High school diploma or equivalent required.
