An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Experience Prior classroom experience in elementary education or preschool settings is required, with a strong background in classroom management and lesson planning. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across core subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and library services is highly desirable. Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds, including those with special needs or requiring individualized instruction, is essential. Familiarity with learning technology tools, LMS platforms, and instructional design methodologies will enhance your effectiveness as an educator. Previous private school experience or Montessori teaching background is a plus but not mandatory. Strong communication skills are vital for engaging students, collaborating with colleagues, and building positive relationships with families.
