This is a critical role in our elementary division, ideal for an educator who is passionate about building strong foundational skills while nurturing confident, curious, and engaged learners in a supportive, values-driven environment. Position Overview The Fourth Grade Teacher is responsible for creating a dynamic and supportive classroom environment that fosters academic growth, independence, and a love of learning. This teacher will deliver instruction across core subject areas, with an emphasis on: Literacy development (reading, writing, and communication) Critical thinking and problem-solving Student engagement and ownership of learning The ideal candidate will be skilled in differentiating instruction, building strong relationships, and creating a classroom culture where students feel safe, challenged, and inspired. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction across core subject areas Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs, learning styles, and readiness levels of students Use assessment data to inform instruction and provide timely, meaningful feedback Foster a classroom environment that is warm, inclusive, structured, and supportive Establish clear expectations, routines, and a positive classroom culture Integrate opportunities for critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity Communicate regularly and effectively with families, maintaining transparency and partnership Collaborate with colleagues and contribute positively to school culture and community Participate actively in professional development and ongoing growth opportunities Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred Experience teaching upper elementary strongly preferred Strong foundation in literacy instruction and student-centered teaching practices Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and manage a classroom effectively Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Commitment to continuous professional growth and collaboration What We're Looking For We are seeking a teacher who: Builds strong, positive relationships with students and families Creates a classroom environment where students feel valued, supported, and encouraged to take academic risks Uses thoughtful, engaging instructional strategies to promote deep understanding Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and a collaborative spirit Is aligned with a mission-driven school culture that values both excellence and character Why Join Hillel Academy?
