Horizon Science Academy Davenport is a public charter school in Davenport, Iowa. We are looking for dedicated elementary teachers to fill an immediate opening in grade 2 for the 2026-2027 school year. Our STEM-focused charter school, serving Kindergarten through 7th grade. This will be our second year open and we continue to make strides to offer Parent Choice and give students a positive school experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging STEM curricula for students
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Build strong relationships with students to support their academic and personal growth
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational programs
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress
Meet with grade level teams and staff to review data and plan for instruction
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
Valid Iowa teaching certification
Experience in elementary education, preferably in a STEM setting
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on relationship-building
Commitment to fostering connections within the school community
Passion for integrating STEM concepts into the curriculum
