Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Job Summary Join our unique educational community as a Montessori School Substitute Teacher, where your calm demeanor and adaptability will guide young learners in the environment. In this role, you will step into Montessori classrooms to support learners, and uphold the nurturing atmosphere that fosters curiosity and independence. Your thoughtful approach will ensure continuity and a positive experience for students across various age groups, all while adhering to Montessori principles and school policies. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early development and love for learning, while the teacher is away. This is an on-call position, in which we are building our sub list for our Early Childhood and Elementary classrooms. Duties Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement techniques, ensuring a respectful and inclusive environment. Support individual children, including those with autism or in early childhood education programs. Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety standards. Communicate effectively with teaching team and head of school regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities through scheduled updates or written reports. Follow mandated reporting laws and school policies diligently while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in elementary school, preschool or early childhood education settings, preferably within Montessori or private school environments. Strong knowledge of classroom management and behavior management strategies. Excellent communication skills to foster collaboration with teachers and students alike. Knowledge of childhood development principles. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with autism or other special needs populations is a plus. Montessori school experience a plus! Requirements Must pass background check and have current CPR/1st Aid card.

$20.00 per hour
