An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Position Responsibilities Design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Incorporate project-based and nature-based learning into daily instruction. Collaborate closely with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and interdisciplinary projects. Maintain open, positive, and professional communication with families. Qualifications Degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred. Proven success working with young children. Strong understanding of child development and best practices in early elementary education. Experience with project-based learning, outdoor education, experiential learning, or nature-based education preferred. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to work effectively within a collaborative teaching team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Passion for inspiring curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
