Summary-Immediate Opening Gooding Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated 5th Grade Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for students, promoting academic excellence, and supporting the social and emotional development of each child. This full-time position offers the opportunity to inspire young minds and make a lasting impact on their educational journey. Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to the diverse learning needs of students. Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning. Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, assignments, and observations. Provide individualized support and intervention for students who may be struggling academically or socially. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and any concerns. Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices. Maintain an organized and safe classroom environment that promotes respect and inclusivity. Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other school activities as needed. Uphold the values and mission of Gooding Elementary School, contributing to a positive school culture. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Valid teaching certification for elementary education. Experience teaching 5th grade or a similar age group preferred. Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans. Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Passion for education and a desire to make a difference in the lives of students. Must pass a background check.
