Elementary Teacher (K-3)
Location:
Howe, Idaho Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated, self-motivated Elementary Teacher to lead a one-room schoolhouse serving students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. This unique role is ideal for an independent educator who thrives in a close-knit, rural community setting and is passionate about multi-grade instruction. The teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality, standards-based education across all core subject areas while fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver instruction for a multi-age classroom (K-3) across all core subjects, including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies Differentiate instruction to meet the varying academic and developmental needs of students Create a structured yet flexible classroom environment that promotes student independence and collaboration Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction accordingly Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress with families Collaborate with a classroom aide to support instruction and classroom management Incorporate hands-on, experiential, and place-based learning opportunities when possible Uphold Idaho state education standards and requirements
Qualifications:
Valid Idaho Elementary teaching certification (or the ability to obtain) Experience teaching in a multi-grade or blended classroom setting is highly desirable Strong organizational and classroom management skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Adaptability, creativity, and a problem-solving mindset Commitment to rural education and community engagement

Small class size One full-time classroom aide assigned Curriculum resources and instructional materials provided On-site district housing available for rent
