Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Elementary School Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a vibrant educational environment. In this role, you will create engaging lesson plans, foster a positive classroom atmosphere, and support the holistic development of students from early childhood through elementary grades. Your expertise will help cultivate curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning while ensuring each child's unique needs are met with compassion and professionalism. Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy, math, science, social studies, and physical education. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies to create a safe and inclusive learning environment. Incorporate learning technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and understanding. Assess student progress regularly using standardized testing, formative assessments, and informal observations; adjust instruction accordingly. Provide individualized support through tutoring, early intervention strategies, or special education accommodations for students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism or requiring special education services. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to develop comprehensive educational plans that support each child's growth. Mentor new teachers or teaching assistants by sharing best practices in classroom management, curriculum development, and instructional techniques. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and progress reports in compliance with school policies. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, literacy education, curriculum updates, and teaching methodologies such as Montessori or early childhood education approaches. Experience Proven classroom experience working with elementary-aged children in diverse educational settings. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across core subjects including literacy education, math, science, and social studies. Experience working with children requiring special education services or early intervention programs. Familiarity with learning technology tools used for instruction and assessment purposes. Knowledge of classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and inclusive participation. Prior private school experience or Montessori training is a plus but not required. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, colleagues, and administrative staff. Background in working with individuals with autism or other developmental differences is advantageous.
