Job Overview Must meet DCFS guidelines for qualifications of a lead teacher. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, fostering their emotional, social, and cognitive development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. Duties Supervise and engage with children in various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and exploration. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space. Collaborate with other staff members to support the overall goals of the daycare program. Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents as needed. Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual requirements. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development. Qualifications At least one year of experience in childcare settings such as daycare, preschool, or nannying. Must meet DCFS guidelines for qualifications of a lead teacher. Experience working with students with disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development. Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not required at the time of hiring.
