Description St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School in West Dundee is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic First Grade Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 School Year. Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Curriculum Development:

Implement engaging lessons for core subjects (especially reading) while integrating Catholic values and fostering a respectful environment.

Skill Development:

Monitor progress against 1st-grade milestones, manage the classroom effectively, and maintain proactive communication with parents.

Safety & Environment:

Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment.

Assessment & Evaluation:

Evaluate, document, and report student progress.

Faith Integration:

Promote Catholic teachings in lessons and participate in required faith formation

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's degree and a valid teaching license.

Experience:

Bachelor's degree and a valid teaching license.

Compliance:

Ability to pass criminal background checks and comply with diocesan Safe Environment policies
