Full-Time, Academic Year Position Summary The 3rd5th Grade Elementary Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based instruction that supports students academic growth and development. This role focuses on strengthening foundational skills in literacy and mathematics while promoting critical thinking, independence, and collaboration in a structured classroom environment. Key Responsibilities Instruction & Curriculum Plan and deliver effective, standards-aligned lessons in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs Integrate technology and interactive learning tools into daily instruction Differentiate instruction to support all learners, including advanced and struggling students Student Learning & Development Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and respect Support students social, emotional, and academic development Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning skills Assessment & Data Use Assess student progress through formal and informal assessments Analyze data to guide instruction and interventions Maintain accurate records of student performance, grades, and attendance Prepare students for state and district assessments Classroom Management Establish clear expectations, routines, and procedures Promote positive behavior and a safe, structured learning environment Address behavioral concerns using appropriate interventions Collaboration & Communication Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and support staff Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events Qualifications Education & Certification Bachelors degree in Elementary Education or related field Valid Kansas teaching license/certification for elementary education Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of upper elementary curriculum and standards Effective classroom management and organizational skills Ability to analyze and use student data to inform instruction Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with educational technology Preferred Qualifications Prior teaching or student teaching experience in upper elementary grades (3rd5th) Experience with state assessment preparation Training in differentiated instruction and intervention strategies Experience working with diverse learners, including special education and English language learners Work Environment Classroom setting with students ages 811 Requires active engagement, including standing, walking, and monitoring students throughout the day Additional Duties Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or administration Application Process Interested candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, teaching certification, and references to https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfHp56FDSbagKVQmnbbc-dvoZPhsitgSU1XAV1m0vGnOagtCw/viewform.
