Elementary Classroom Teacher

Summary RW Combs Elementary is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Classroom Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for students, fostering their academic, social, and emotional growth. This full-time position requires a commitment to educational excellence and collaboration with colleagues, parents, and the community to support the diverse needs of our students. Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the diverse learning needs of students. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning. Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, projects, and observations, and provide timely feedback to students and parents. Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary projects and enhance the educational experience. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and academic performance. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices. Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs in collaboration with support staff. Manage classroom behavior effectively and establish clear expectations for student conduct. Engage in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the overall mission and goals of RW Combs Elementary. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field. Valid state teaching certification or license for elementary education. Strong knowledge of child development and effective teaching strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create engaging lesson plans and adapt to the needs of diverse learners. Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Previous teaching experience in an elementary setting is preferred but not required. A passion for education and a dedication to student success.
