An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Aug 25, 2026 Job Description Andover School of Montessori is seeking a dedicated and experienced part-time Spanish Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will teach classes for first grade through grade seven in a Montessori setting. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Spanish language, education, or a related field; native or near-native proficiency in Spanish; prior experience teaching Spanish, preferably in a Montessori environment; an understanding and appreciation of the Montessori philosophy and educational approach; the ability to develop engaging and culturally enriching Spanish lessons for students of varying proficiency levels; and excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students and colleagues. As the Spanish Teacher, you will have the opportunity to introduce students to the Spanish language and Hispanic culture through immersive and experiential learning experiences.
