An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. To Be Determined Job Description Thank you for considering employment in the Lunenburg Public Schools. The candidate for this position should have a strong background in early literacy and mathematics. There is an anticipated open Grade 2 Teacher position at the Lunenburg Primary School. This teacher in this position will work with students in an inclusive setting. GENERAL The ideal candidate should be energetic, motivated individual to work with collaboratively with the second grade team members. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in the content area and be familiar with responsive classroom strategies. The ideal candidate should be passionate and enthusiastic educator who can motivate students to discover their creative potential.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Appropriate Massachusetts Educator License required - Early Childhood. Attendance at the New Teacher Orientation/Induction is required Strong knowledge of early childhood developmental stages Three years of experience, preferred. Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with administration and team members. Strong communications skills; verbal and non-verbal. OTHER Salary and benefits per Lunenburg Education Association contract. Hiring is subject to satisfactory CORI and SAFIS Background Checks per 603 CMR 51.
