About Mystic Valley Regional Charter School (MVRCS) Founded in 1998, Mystic Valley Regional Charter School (MVRCS) is a high-performing K-12 public charter school located in Malden, Massachusetts, serving over 1,750 students. MVRCS is committed to academic excellence through a traditional liberal arts and sciences education, high expectations, and a structured, supportive learning environment. Position Overview:
Elementary Teacher (Grades 1-6) Full-Time | Malden, MA Affordable housing may be available for qualified candidates MVRCS is seeking a dedicated, collaborative Elementary Teacher (Grades 1-6) to join its academic team. This role offers the opportunity to teach within a structured, content-rich environment that prioritizes student achievement, consistency, and continuous instructional improvement. Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain a structured classroom environment aligned with school expectations Deliver daily instruction using Direct Instruction and Core Knowledge curricula Implement effective classroom management strategies, including a 4:1 ratio of positive reinforcement Monitor, document, and submit student progress and lesson data on a weekly basis Provide feedback on curriculum implementation and student outcomes to support continuous improvement Participate in all required professional development sessions, staff meetings, and grade-level team meetings Contribute to Teacher Assistance Team (TAT) meetings and attend IEP meetings as needed Implement accommodations and track progress for students with IEPs and 504 plans Prepare and distribute quarterly report cards and progress reports Conduct four parent-teacher conferences annually (two in the fall and two in the spring) Participate in school-wide events, including Back-to-School Night, open houses, and other community events Fulfill assigned supervisory duties, including arrival, lunch/recess, and dismissal coverage Uphold all school policies, procedures, and expectations Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to analyze student data and adjust instruction accordingly Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment Understanding of school operations, relevant laws, and MVRCS policies Commitment to high expectations and student success Successful completion of applicable MTEL exams within one year of employment Additional Information Full-time position with annual appointment and yearly evaluation Affordable housing may be available for qualified candidates Equal Opportunity Employer Mystic Valley Regional Charter School is an equal opportunity employer.
