Job Description
Newburyport Public Schools is seeking dependable, flexible, and enthusiastic Daily Substitute Teachers to support student learning at the high school level. Substitute teachers play an important role in maintaining a positive, safe, and productive learning environment and ensuring continuity of instruction when regular teachers are absent. Daily rate is $125 per day
Responsibilites:
Follow lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the classroom teacher.
Provide meaningful and engaging learning activities for students.
Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
Manage classroom behavior using positive and appropriate strategies.
Take attendance and complete required classroom documentation.
Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and administrators.
Maintain confidentiality regarding student and school information.
Provide feedback to the regular classroom teacher regarding the day's activities and student progress.
