Overview Join our vibrant educational community as an Elementary After School Program Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire young learners to explore, grow, and thrive beyond the classroom. In this dynamic role, you will create a safe, engaging environment that promotes creativity, social development, and academic support for elementary school students. Your positive energy and commitment will help foster a love of learning while ensuring every child feels valued and supported after school hours. Duties Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and creativity. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques. Supervise children during various activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and school staff to support each child's individual needs, including those requiring special education accommodations. Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play. Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow health and safety protocols diligently. Lead recreational activities such as sports coaching and arts and crafts to enrich the children's after-school experience. Skills Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a respectful and inclusive atmosphere. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages. Experience working with children in daycare, camp settings, babysitting, or tutoring roles. Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively. Familiarity with special education needs and inclusive teaching practices. Competence in first aid procedures to ensure children's safety. Excellent communication skills for working with children, parents, and colleagues. Passion for nurturing children's growth through engaging activities. Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour Application Question(s): Position will begin September 2, 2026 and concludes June 30, 2027. Rehire for additional school years is possible based on performance.
