Job Overview Rising Tide is seeking substitute teachers to join our substitute teacher pool for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates will be responsible for maintaining a safe, positive learning environment while ensuring that students continue to receive quality education in the absence of their regular teacher. This role requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to fostering student development across various subjects and age groups. Duties Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, ensuring continuity of instruction. Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a conducive learning environment. Engage students in meaningful activities that promote learning and development. Foster positive relationships with students to encourage participation and enthusiasm for learning. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and their regular teachers. Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness, ensuring all materials are available for student use. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student needs and progress. Uphold and model all schoolwide, grade-level, and teacher-specific rules and procedures. Preferred Skills and Experience Curriculum development, planning, and implementation Classroom management Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and with various needs Excellent communication skills Previour work with children and adolescents in various settings such as childcare, tutoring, schools, or summer camps
