An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Job Description

Spartek Academy is looking for a dependable and engaging After-School Program Teacher to work with students at the end of the school day. Responsibilities Supervise students during the after-school program Lead simple activities, games, projects, and outdoor play Help students with homework or independent work as needed Manage snack, activities, and dismissal Maintain a safe, positive, and organized environment Encourage respectful behavior and independence Ideal Candidate Experience working with children in a school, camp, childcare, or similar setting Reliable, patient, and comfortable leading a group Creative and able to keep students engaged Strong communication and organization skills Able to take initiative and work independently This is a part-time, in-person position for someone who enjoys working with children and creating a fun, positive environment after school.
