QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, a successful candidate must be able to perform the essential duties. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in education. Possess a valid, current Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement. Elementary/middle school teaching experience desired. Be recognized as a collaborative instructional team member. Have demonstrated success sharing and consulting with colleagues. Have demonstrated success working with underachieving students and closing the achievement gap(s). Demonstrate proficiency with evidence-based instructional techniques such as a. using ongoing assessment information to differentiate instruction; b. establishing a high level of student engagement and interaction that builds on students' prior knowledge; c. use of active learning, manipulatives and visual displays to scaffold students' understanding of concepts and numerical relationships; d. focus on problem solving, mathematical reasoning, justifying ideas and answers, making sense of mathematical situations e. strategic use of classroom discourse through which students construct meaning and understanding
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach District approved curriculum through supplemental support Develop lessons and instructional material to differentiate curriculum based on student needs and data Evaluate pupil's academic and social growth Maintain appropriate records of interventions and assessments including preparing progress report Regular and reliable attendance. Effective use of data to generate individualized learning Confer with building admin and improvement team on Title I plan and budget Collaborate and co-teach with classroom teachers to support identified Title I students through a push-in model Actively participate on the building's Continuous Improvement Team Collaboratively confer, plan and teach with other building interventionists Regularly attend district Title I meetings Follow all Title I program requirements and applicable school and district policies
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Read, analyze, and interpret periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Effectively present information in written and oral form.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. OTHER SKILLS and

Apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional programs. Plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents and community. Use technology effectively.
