QUALIFICATIONS
Must be certified to teach in the state of Michigan and possess one or more of the following endorsements (
  • currently allowed by MDE due to staffing shortage flexibility rules): ZG
  • Elementary K-5 all subjects [K-8 All Subjects Self Contained Classroom] ZP
  • Upper Elementary, 3-6 grade, Education ZC
  • K-8 All Subjects ZE
  • General Elementary K-6 ZO
  • Lower Elementary Education [PK-3] BQ
  • English Language Arts [5-9 only] EQ
  • Mathematics [5-9 only] DQ
  • Science [5-9 only] CQ
  • Social Studies [5-9 only]
RESPONSIBILITIES
Willing and able to deliver effective classroom instruction Willing to collaborate with teaching partner/grade-level colleagues Have a strong desire to work with elementary school aged students and their parents Be willing to participate in a variety of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities including staff development and curriculum development Be willing to work as part of a building team for the improvement of instruction Be open to continuous change Be an excellent communicator with students, parents, and colleagues Demonstrate mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the requirements of the position The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance Perform other duties as assigned
