An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Responsibilities :
Essential Duties:
Develop and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans based on curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Develop assessments and monitor student performance through various methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations. Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives. Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to contribute to the overall mission of the institution. Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff Regular and predictable attendanceCognitive Demands :
Supervision of multiple students at once Establishing routines and procedures Maintaining a safe and orderly environment Create and implement instructional plans Participate in continuous professional development Effective oral and written communication skillsPhysical Demands :
Occasionally lift/move objects weighing up to 25lbs Stand and walk frequently Occasionally sit on the floor or bend down/squat Withstand all demands presented by outside weather conditions at any time of the year Withstand a moderate noise level Be able to perform first aid/CPR if necessary Assist/lift students, as necessaryQualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Valid teaching certification/license in Michigan with an endorsement in the grade level. Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities.Company Benefits:
