PORTRAIT OF FARMINGTON STEAM ACADEMY

Farmington STEAM Academy (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) serves over 700 students in grades K-8, within the Farmington Public Schools district boundaries. Q UALIFICATIONS

Valid Elementary Michigan Teaching Certificate with ZG ( elementary K-5 all subjects; K-8 all subjects self-contained classrooms) or Z P (Upper Elementary Education 3-6). Experience teaching lower elementary, preferred. Interest and experience with student-centered learning and project-based learning. Flexible and innovative mindset. C ompetency in student management and supervision. Ability to collaborate across all grade levels Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with students, staff members, parents and the community Such alternatives to the above qualification as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
