Job Description

Innocademy Allegan Campus, a small Y5 through 8th-grade school in Fennville, MI, is seeking a caring, flexible, and collaborative teacher to lead a self-contained upper elementary classroom. We are committed to providing a high-quality education that meets students where they are while supporting their academic, emotional, physical, and social growth. At IAC, we value collaboration, stewardship, and working together toward common goals. This role provides students with a strong foundation across core academic areas within a supportive and structured classroom environment that fits the size and culture of our school. The teacher will build meaningful relationships with students and families, create engaging learning experiences, and support student growth through responsive instruction, consistency, and care. The ideal candidate brings a whole-child mindset, strong classroom leadership, and a willingness to be an active part of a small school community. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in core subject areas for upper elementary students Create a positive, structured classroom environment that supports both academic and social-emotional growth Differentiate instruction to meet a range of student learning needs Use assessment data to guide instruction and monitor student progress Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom updates Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and schoolwide goals Participate in school meetings, professional development, and other assigned duties Maintain accurate student records and meet instructional and reporting expectations Qualifications Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate elementary endorsement Ability to teach in a self-contained elementary classroom Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills Commitment to supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of students Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Experience with differentiated instruction preferred Experience in a small school or flexible learning environment preferred Schedule Balanced Calendar (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KEN0Cti6PLcIoZvfJCEmuFBrFWok2UZ7/view?usp=drive_link) 2026-2027 School Year Full-time, exempt.
