Grade Elementary Teacher Summary:

Goodrich Area Schools is seeking a dedicated, full-time 2nd grade elementary teacher who is passionate about student growth, embraces collaboration, and fosters an inclusive, engaging learning environment. Qualifications and Requirements Must have a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate. Must meet highly qualified status for Every Student Succeeds Act. Experience with standards based teaching, grading and rubric scoring desired. Experience or training in differentiated instruction and data-driven decision-making. Strong collaborative skills and experience working in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) are highly valued. Ability to thrive in a team-centered, supportive school culture. A child-centered, whole child approach to teaching and learning is preferred. A self-directed thinker and problem solver. Essential Functions and Representative Duties Knowledge of Michigan Academic Standards. Experience in research based instructional strategies and best practices. Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based instructional practices in ELA and mathematics. Develop and implement engaging, standards-aligned lessons that meet the needs of all learners. Use assessment data to inform instruction and provide targeted interventions as needed. Experience with social and emotional learning, character education, servant-leadership, whole-child, and cooperative learning programs. Demonstrated ability to integrate subject-based content into the core content areas of reading, writing, and mathematics. Communicate effectively with families to support student learning and growth.

Work Environment:

Work is performed at Oaktree Elementary School and may include other facilities of the district when necessary. There is limited exposure to physical risk.
