An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Kindergarten Teacher Position Opening San Juan Diego Academy (SJDA) 20262027 School Year San Juan Diego Academy (SJDA) is seeking a dedicated, faith-filled, and enthusiastic Kindergarten Teacher to join our school community for the 20262027 academic year. We are a vibrant Catholic school committed to academic excellence, spiritual growth, and the development of the whole child.
Position Overview :
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and structured classroom environment that supports student learning and reflects the mission and values of Catholic education.
Responsibilities Include :
Plan and deliver high-quality instruction aligned with curriculum standards Foster a positive, inclusive, and faith-centered classroom environment Integrate Catholic teachings and values across subject areas Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues Participate actively in school events, liturgies, and professional development
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Education Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain) Practicing Catholic preferred, with a commitment to supporting the mission of Catholic education Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
