Becker School District is conveniently located off of US Hwy 10, just 20 minutes southeast of St. Cloud and 45 minutes northwest of the Twin Cities. The district consists of five buildings, all situated on a single, cohesive campus and serving approximately 2,800 students: Early Education Building, Primary School (K-2), Intermediate School (3-5), Middle School (6-8), and High School (9-12). Becker's mission is to develop self-directed learners who thrive in a changing global community.
Position Summary:
Becker Intermediate School is seeking a highly motivated, student-centered educator to join our team as a Third Grade Classroom Teacher. This position focuses on developing strong foundational skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and critical thinking while supporting students socially and emotionally during an important stage of their academic development. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a dedicated third grade team and a strong Professional Learning Community (PLC) committed to improving instruction and student outcomes. Teams focus on essential standards, common assessments, and data-informed instruction to ensure growth for every learner.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies Implement literacy instruction aligned with Minnesota's READ Act and evidence-based reading practices Use formative and common assessments to monitor student progress Analyze student data and adjust instruction to ensure growth for all learners Use differentiated instructional strategies to support diverse learning needs Build strong relationships with students to create a positive, inclusive classroom culture Communicate regularly with families regarding student learning and progress Integrate technology to enhance student learning and engagement Support school-wide expectations for behavior, PBIS, and social-emotional learning
