4th Grade Elementary Teacher
ASAP- 2026-27
School Year Position Overview Le Sueur-Henderson Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Elementary Teacher committed to fostering academic growth, positive relationships, and inclusive learning environments for all students. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong instructional practices, collaboration skills, and a passion for supporting the whole child. Qualifications Valid Minnesota Elementary Teaching License Demonstrated knowledge of elementary curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices Commitment to equitable educational practices and culturally responsive instruction Preferred Experience Experience teaching elementary-age students Experience working with diverse student populations Familiarity with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), intervention, and progress monitoring Experience using assessment data to guide instruction and differentiate learning Background in collaborative team environments and professional learning communities Essential Responsibilities Instruction & Student Learning Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction Differentiate instruction to meet varied student needs Implement research-based instructional strategies and best practices Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction Provide targeted interventions and monitor student progress Classroom Environment Create a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture Establish positive relationships with students and families Promote social-emotional learning and student well-being Maintain effective classroom management practices Collaboration & Professional Responsibilities Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and support staff Participate in PLCs, professional development, and school improvement initiatives Communicate effectively with families and stakeholders Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving skills Contribute positively to school culture and teamwork Desired Professional Characteristics Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Positive, welcoming, and student-focused mindset Innovative thinking and willingness to try new approaches Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school setting Selection Procedure / Contact Information For additional information regarding this position, please contact: Katie Maier Elementary Principal Le Sueur Henderson School District 507-665-4700 kmaier@isd2397.org
