An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Must hold a valid elementary education teaching license in the State of Minnesota or ability to be licensed. Teachers must be able to demonstrate the highest commitment to student achievement and effective development. Teachers must have the willingness to adapt to becoming part of a total school effort in educating our students. Teachers must have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with other staff members, students and parents in providing and promoting positive relationships. Teachers must be of the highest integrity with a strong commitment to modeling excellence in all aspects of the teacher/student/parent relationships. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.WAGES:
Ranging from $51,710- $100,682 (dependent on education and experience)
