Description:
Elementary Mathematics Intervention Teacher - Parkwood Elementary School - 2026-2027 School Year (One-Year Title I Funded Position) Pattonville School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Interventionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire young learners, foster a love of learning, and support students in becoming responsible and engaged citizens.
Position Summary:
The Math Interventionist Under the general supervision of the school principal, supports student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills by implementing district-approved curriculum and providing targeted small-group instruction in mathematics. The position is responsible for monitoring and documenting student progress, addressing individual learning needs, and creating a flexible, safe, and supportive learning environment. The Math Interventionist collaborates with classroom teachers and building paraprofessionals to plan and support small-group instruction and communicates effectively with students, parents/guardians, and administrators regarding student progress, expectations, and instructional goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Establishes and maintains a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes individualized and small-group instruction. Develops and implements math lesson plans and utilizes instructional materials aligned with district curriculum to provide high-quality learning experiences. Monitors and assesses student learning on an ongoing basis and adjusts instructional methods to meet individual student needs. Collaborates with classroom teachers to support and enhance district educational programs and services. Maintains accurate, complete, and timely records of student achievement and attendance in accordance with district and building procedures and policies. Evaluates student performance and assists in placing students in appropriate intervention and support services. Meets regularly with the principal and instructional specialist to review academic progress, analyze data, and support action planning. Supports and guides paraprofessionals in lesson planning, pacing of intervention instruction, development of differentiated learning opportunities, and implementation of best practices to meet individual student needs. Builds and maintains effective communication with students and parents/guardians to encourage family engagement and support student success. Implements and enforces school and district behavior expectations to promote a positive and effective learning environment. Engages in ongoing professional development to remain current with educational best practices, instructional strategies, and intervention methodologies. Collaborates with staff members, participates in faculty meetings, professional learning communities, and required district/building initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or masters degree from an accredited college or university. Missouri Elementary Certification 1-6 certification Strong classroom management and communication skills. Commitment to equity, diversity, and student success.
Additional Duties:

Travel Requirements:
Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based on student learning styles. Knowledge of elementary school reading curriculum and concepts. Ability to use learning software applications as needed. Ability to communicate effectively with students and their parents/guardians. Work Hours:
7.25 hours per day; 5 days per week Work calendar: 189 days (2026-2027 calendar)
FLSA Status:
Exempt Salary:
Commensurate with years of full-time teaching experience. Service credit is awarded on a year-by-year basis, with a maximum of 20 years recognized. (Certified Teacher Salary Schedule 2026-2027) Candidates who have signed a contract for the 2026–2027 school year should consult with their current district to confirm eligibility for release prior to applying.
