Job Description

Job Summary Christ the King Catholic School is an exceptional Catholic school community committed to academic excellence and faith formation. We are seeking a highly qualified Second Grade Teacher to provide rigorous, standards-based instruction while preparing students for Reconciliation and First Eucharist.
Job Responsibilities Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Religion. Implement a structured literacy approach and strong foundational math instruction. Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Integrate Catholic teachings and Gospel values across the curriculum. Prepare students for Reconciliation and First Eucharist in partnership with parish and families. Maintain a structured, positive, and Christ-centered classroom environment. Collaborate professionally with colleagues and communicate regularly with parents. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (Master's preferred). Valid state teaching certification (or ability to obtain). Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum and instructional best practices. Practicing Catholic preferred; must support Catholic teachings and mission. Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
