An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Woodland Montessori School is seeking a caring, flexible, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher/ After Care Support/Float to join our dedicated team with an immediate start date! At Woodland Montessori School, we provide a warm, inclusive setting that celebrates curiosity, kindness, and lifelong learning for children ages 2-6. As an Assistant Teacher/ After Care Support/Float, you'll play a vital role in supporting the daily flow of our classrooms-helping maintain an engaging, peaceful environment and ensuring every child feels safe, supported, and inspired. What You'll Do During the
Summer & School Year:
Support Classrooms:
Float between rooms to assist teachers and students, helping create a calm and joyful learning space.
Lunchtime & Playground Supervision:
Keep children safe and engaged during meals and outdoor play.
Supervision of Summer Activites :
Keep children safe and engaged while helping support teachers during summer activities, such as Bike Day, Walking Field Trips, Gardening, STEAM Activities, Water Day and More!
Student and Transition Support:
Help children move between activities with ease and confidence and offer one-on-one attention to children who may need extra care or encouragement.
Light Cleaning:
Maintain a clean, welcoming environment for all.
Aftercare Engagement:
Lead fun, enriching activities in our aftercare program. Our aftercare program ends at 5:30pm!
Team Communication:
Collaborate with teachers and staff to meet student needs.
Emergency Preparedness:
Be ready to respond calmly and effectively in any situation.
What We're Looking For:
Experience in early childhood education preferred High School Diploma or GED required Must complete Montana Child Care Provider requirements (we'll pay for your training day!) CPR & First Aid Certification (reimbursed after 90 days) Current
TDAP & MMR
vaccinations or notarized Religious or Medical Exemption Ability to lift, bend, and be active throughout the day Must pass FBI fingerprint & background check
Schedule:
Shifts range from 5-8 hours School hours: Monday-Friday, 7:25 AM-5:30 PM No weekends!
